Who ships FF&E with Warp

Office furniture dealers (Steelcase, Herman Miller, MillerKnoll, Haworth, Teknion dealer networks). Hotel and hospitality FF&E firms running new builds, refresh projects, and brand standard rollouts.

Retail fixture providers managing store openings and remodel programs. Corporate office moves and tenant improvement projects. Property management firms doing common-area refresh.

The pattern: freight + careful in-room placement, with install handled by a separate FF&E installer.

How Warp coordinates with your install partner

FF&E freight runs on a project timeline. Warp coordinates the delivery window with your install partner so the freight arrives staged for install — not all at once, not blocking the site.

For multi-truck or multi-day deliveries, Warp can sequence drops by floor, by room, or by install crew availability.

The customer portal supports per-shipment appointment windows; for complex projects, a dedicated program syncs the full delivery schedule.

Inside delivery to floor of choice

Standard delivery is to the dock or front entrance. For FF&E, inside delivery to a specific floor or room is standard on Warp box trucks with two-man crew and liftgate.

The crew brings the freight to the install location — install partners can then start their work without a freight handoff.

Useful for high-rise office buildings, hotels, and any property where dock-to-room logistics matter.

Common FF&E project types

New office buildouts (workstations, seating, conference furniture). Hotel new build or refresh (case goods, mattresses, soft seating, lobby fixtures).

Retail store openings (display fixtures, shelving, point-of-sale stations). Corporate relocations (existing furniture move plus new pieces).

Restaurant FF&E (booths, tables, bar fixtures, kitchen equipment freight — install handled by kitchen equipment installer).

Healthcare facility FF&E (waiting room, exam room, administrative furniture).

What Warp does not do

Furniture assembly. Cubicle or systems furniture install. Demountable wall install. Workstation electrical or data cabling. AV install. Window treatment install. Carpet or flooring install.

Appliance hookup (electrical, plumbing, gas). These are install work, performed by your install partner. Warp's program is the freight + in-room placement leg.

This split is by design — it lets the install partner specialize on install while Warp handles capacity and freight logistics.

Project pricing and program rates

Single-project pricing is per-load all-inclusive from the customer portal.

Multi-project or rollout programs get contracted rates locked at the lane and vehicle level, often with dedicated drivers on the program via Work Queue.

For a 50-store retail rollout, a 200-room hotel refresh, or a corporate dealer with 500+ deliveries per year, the contracted program model is more cost-effective and predictable than per-load booking.

Sales builds the program around your project pipeline.

Frequently asked questions

Does Warp assemble the furniture?

No. Warp delivers FF&E to the install site with two-man crew, liftgate, and inside delivery to floor or room of choice.

Assembly is performed by your install partner — typically a dealer's install crew, a specialty FF&E installer, or an in-house facilities team.

Can Warp handle systems furniture (cubicles, workstations)?

For the freight portion, yes — Warp delivers crated or palletized systems furniture to the floor of install.

The install itself (panel connection, electrical pre-wire integration, work surface attachment) is performed by your systems furniture installer, not by Warp.

How are sequencing deliveries handled on multi-truck projects?

Warp coordinates the dispatch schedule to match your install partner's progression.

For a 10-floor office buildout, drops can be sequenced by floor or by install phase so the install crew has the right freight at the right time.

The customer portal supports appointment windows per load; for project-level coordination, a dedicated program is recommended.

Does Warp work directly with installers or with the end customer?

Either. For dealer programs, Warp is the freight layer billed to the dealer with install partner coordination on the dealer's side.

For end-customer projects, Warp's bill of lading and delivery confirmation goes to the customer or the project owner. For complex programs, both flows can run in parallel.

Are appointment windows guaranteed?

Yes. Warp confirms the appointment window at booking and dispatches to arrive within the window. Standard windows are 2-4 hours wide. Tight 1-hour windows are available on qualifying programs.

On-time rate is 98.2% network-wide.

Can Warp handle high-rise or limited-access locations?

Yes. The limited-access service flag covers buildings with restricted dock access, freight elevator scheduling requirements, or high-rise placement constraints.

Two-man crew + inside delivery accessorials handle floor-of-choice drops. For very heavy items requiring rigging or crane work, that is a separate specialty service not provided by Warp.

What insurance is in place for high-value FF&E?

Standard carrier liability is $100,000 per shipment. Coverage up to $1,000,000 is available for high-value FF&E projects on qualifying programs.

Coordinate during program setup with the sales team for specific project insurance requirements.

How do I quote a project?

For a single FF&E project, quote at the customer portal with origin and destination ZIPs, pallet count, weight, and any service flags (liftgate, two-man, inside delivery, appointment window).

For multi-project or rollout programs, talk to Warp about a contracted rate program.

About the Warp freight network

50+cross-dock facilities
1,500+active lanes
9,000+vans & box trucks
20,000+vetted carriers

Warp is a technology-driven freight network that combines cargo van, box truck, LTL, and FTL capacity under one operating system. Shippers get instant rates, real-time tracking, and access to 50+ cross-dock facilities, 1,500+ active lanes, and 9,000+ cargo vans and box trucks nationwide.

The network is supported by 20,000+ vetted carrier partners.

Unlike traditional brokers, Warp uses AI to match the right vehicle to every load based on weight, dimensions, urgency, and cost targets. Cross-dock operations reduce transit time by eliminating unnecessary terminal transfers.

Pool distribution and zone-skipping programs help enterprise shippers lower per-unit delivery costs while maintaining tight appointment windows.

Self-serve shippers can quote, compare, and book freight online in under two minutes. Enterprise accounts get dedicated capacity planning, committed rate programs, and a named operations team. Every shipment includes scan-level visibility from pickup through final delivery.

Warp operates across the contiguous United States with regional density in the Southeast, Texas, Midwest, and Northeast corridors.

Cross-dock facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New York, Savannah, Orlando, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Columbus, Denver, New Orleans, and Milwaukee support faster transfers and fewer touches on recurring lanes.

Freight modes and vehicle types

Cargo vans handle loads up to 3,500 pounds and 400 cubic feet, ideal for time-sensitive deliveries, last-mile retail replenishment, and lightweight palletized freight.

Box trucks carry up to 10,000 pounds and 1,500 cubic feet, fitting most regional distribution and store delivery needs without requiring a loading dock.

Dry vans and full truckloads move 42,000+ pounds for high-volume lanes and recurring programs. LTL shipments share trailer space on optimized routes through Warp cross-docks, reducing per-pallet cost by consolidating multiple shippers on the same vehicle.

Warp does not default every shipment to a 53-foot trailer. The AI engine evaluates load weight, cube, delivery window, and cost to recommend the right vehicle. Shippers see all available mode options with live pricing in one comparison screen before booking.

Cross-dock operations

Cross-docking at Warp facilities eliminates warehouse storage. Inbound freight is sorted and transferred directly to outbound vehicles, typically within hours.

This reduces dwell time, lowers damage risk, and compresses delivery windows. Warp cross-docks support pallet-in, pallet-out operations with scan-level tracking at every handoff point.

Facility locations are selected for corridor density: Atlanta handles Southeast retail flow, Chicago serves Midwest manufacturing and replenishment, Houston covers Texas industrial distribution, and New York supports dense Northeast delivery. Each facility operates on appointment-based scheduling to prevent congestion and maintain throughput consistency.

Enterprise freight programs

Enterprise shippers get committed rate programs, dedicated account management, and custom SLA design. Warp builds lane-by-lane rate structures that account for volume commitments, seasonal variation, and mode flexibility. Operations teams monitor shipment execution daily and intervene proactively when exceptions occur.

Self-serve freight quoting

The self-serve portal lets shippers enter origin and destination, load details, and delivery requirements to see live rates across all available modes. Quotes include estimated transit time, vehicle type, and total cost.

Booking takes one click. After booking, shippers track every shipment with real-time GPS location, milestone updates, and proof of delivery documentation.

Industries and use cases

Retail shippers use Warp for store replenishment programs that deliver to hundreds of locations per week on tight appointment windows. Apparel brands use zone skipping to bypass regional parcel sortation and reduce per-unit delivery cost.

Food and beverage companies rely on time-definite delivery for perishable goods. Manufacturing operations use Warp for inbound vendor consolidation, combining multiple supplier shipments into fewer, fuller loads through cross-dock facilities.

Distribution companies use pool distribution to serve multiple delivery points from a single origin, splitting full truckloads at cross-docks into smaller last-mile vehicles.

Urgent freight recovery covers emergency capacity needs when primary carriers fail or demand spikes unexpectedly. Middle-mile optimization reduces cost and transit time on the longest segment of multi-leg shipments.
