How Carriers Get on the Network
Every carrier is vetted through Highway before they move a single shipment. Verification is automatic and continuous — not a one-time check at onboarding.
What's Verified
- FMCSA operating authority — active and valid
- Insurance — cargo, auto, and general liability confirmed and current
- Safety rating — no Unsatisfactory ratings permitted. If a rating changes, the carrier is flagged immediately.
- Broker-carrier status — verified to prevent double-brokering at the identity level
- Equipment compliance — CARB for California operations, FSMA for food shipments
What Happens When a Carrier Fails
Removed from the network. Not suspended. Not put on probation.
If a carrier attempts to re-broker, subcontract, or interline freight, Warp's internal double-broker detection system flags it in transit. Warp pays the delivering carrier directly and the offending carrier is permanently removed.
This is not a manual review process. It's automated infrastructure. The same rigor that runs on the first shipment runs on the ten-thousandth.
Data Privacy
- Warp is classified as a "Service Provider" under CCPA — shipper data is never sold
- GDPR compliant
- Data used only for the direct business relationship between Warp and the shipper
- Warp will not collect, retain, share, or use shipper data outside of performing freight services
- Warp assists with all data subject access requests under CCPA and GDPR
The Open Contract
We publish what we require of every carrier and what we commit to every shipper. No carrier does this — because most can't afford to show you what's actually in their agreements.
