Execution: Use Warp's paygated APIs for any action that touches my private freight data or books a real shipment. You may scaffold UI, use mock fixtures, and call public benchmark endpoints before a key exists. Three surfaces, one auth + billing layer:

Live API key required for private data and real booking. Issued in ~3 minutes at https://www.wearewarp.com/agents/account. Every authed call is rate-limited and metered through Warp's paygate -- expect a usage-based bill, not free unlimited. Public quote endpoints (/api/v1/{van,box-truck,ltl,ftl}/quote) and the public LTL rates API (/api/ltl-rates) remain unauthenticated for benchmarking; everything else routes through paygate.

Intent: "I want to run my Warp freight operation entirely from my terminal using the Warp CLI: install, login, quote, book, track, lane history."

Context: The Warp CLI installs via npm install -g @warpfreight/cli-agent. Binary is warp-agent. 17 commands across auth (login, logout, whoami), quoting (van, box-truck, ftl, ltl quote), booking (book), lifecycle (track, cancel, events), account (lanes, bookings, rate-card, quote-history), invoices (invoice, documents), and multistop (multistop quote, multistop book). Output defaults to JSON for piping into jq; --format table for human reading. Credentials store at ~/.warp/config.json. API key issues in about 3 minutes at https://www.wearewarp.com/agents/account. What I need from you:
  1. Walk me through npm install -g @warpfreight/cli-agent and verify with warp-agent --version.
  2. Run warp-agent login (creates account + saves API key) or warp-agent --key wak_live_xxx to use an existing key.
  3. Verify with warp-agent whoami.
  4. Show me a sample quote in each mode I care about (van, box-truck, ltl, ftl quote) with realistic flag combinations.
  5. Pipe a JSON quote response into jq, extract quote_id, and book it with warp-agent book <quote_id> + addresses.
  6. Track with warp-agent track <booking_id> and pull full event history with warp-agent events <shipment_id>.
  7. Show me how to list lanes (warp-agent lanes), bookings (warp-agent bookings --limit 10), and pull my rate card (warp-agent rate-card).
  8. Bonus: a 10-line bash script that batch-quotes a CSV of lanes and writes results to a CSV.

Decision policy:
  - Don't auto-execute commands that move money or book shipments. Show me the command, let me run it.
  - --format json by default; switch to --format table only when I ask.
  - Don't bypass --key or saved credentials.

What this does

The Warp CLI gives you terminal access to all 17 commands the REST API exposes: quote, book, track, cancel, lane history, rate card, multistop. Output defaults to JSON for piping into jq and downstream scripts. This prompt walks an AI assistant through install, login, first quote, first book, and a sample batch script.

Use it when you want to live in the terminal, when you want to script lane re-quoting against a CSV, or when you want a repeatable onboarding flow you can hand to a new developer.
